About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development professional with with strong expertise in carbon markets and hands-on experience in Nature-Based Solutions (NCS). This role focuses on developing and managing client relationships across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, driving sales of high-integrity carbon solutions and supporting organizations in achieving their climate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of carbon credits and related products, with a focus on Nature-Based Solutions projects/programmes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and institutional stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
- Structure and negotiate long-term carbon deals, including voluntary and compliance market transactions.
- Advise clients on NCS project attributes, pricing, risk management, and placement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply and ensure successful delivery of carbon solutions.
- Monitor global carbon market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities in target regions.
- Prepare and present proposals, term sheets, and commercial frameworks to clients.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of experience in front-office sales, trading, or origination within energy or carbon markets.
- Strong knowledge of voluntary carbon markets, compliance schemes, and Nature-Based Solutions (including JREDD+, IFM and ARR).
- Proven ability to manage portfolios, P\&L responsibility, and execute structured deals.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in more than one language is advantageous.
- Existing corporate contacts in the Middle East and Asia are preferred.
- Experience working with supply chain corporates is highly desirable.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Carbon Markets & Commercial Operations Associate to support our commercial team in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and engaging with brokers, intermediaries, and market participants. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has a foundational understanding of carbon markets and a strong interest in developing technical and commercial expertise in a fast-growing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- RFP Management:
- Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of responses to RFPs from corporate clients, financial institutions, and project developers.
- Gather and organize inputs from internal teams to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality proposals.
- Maintain a central repository of proposal documents, templates, and supporting materials.
- Broker & Intermediary Engagement:
- Serve as a first point of contact for carbon market brokers, intermediaries, and exchanges.
- Track incoming opportunities, offers, and market inquiries.
- Assist in managing commercial workflows, including information requests, pricing discussions, and transaction support.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Monitor carbon market trends, methodologies, pricing, regulations, and emerging opportunities.

- Operational & Commercial Support:
- Update CRM systems, deal trackers, and proposal logs.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of carbon markets, including voluntary carbon markets, credits, methodologies, and key industry stakeholders.
